Bring ya friends and flatties for a morning planting native trees on Waiheke Island! This is an opportunity to get out of the city, reconnect with nature and be with others that also give a damn.
The Now Crowd has teamed up with Million Metres and Waiheke Resources Trust to help restore Rangihoua Wetland.
Fullers have given us half-price ferry tickets (how good!?) and a few beers will be provided at the planting site once we finish.
Let’s meet at Auckland Ferry Terminal at 7.45am for an 8am ferry. Then it’s a 15 minute bus ride to the Rangihoua wetlands site. It could be a bit muddy so make sure you bring your gummies (if you have a pair – otherwise borrow), some old gears and a change of clothes. You will also need water, snacks and some coins or your AT HOP card for the bus to and from the wetland.
Tickets include return ferry and a donation to the Waiheke Resources Trust for organising the day.
The planting will wrap up around 12.30pm and then you are free to catch any ferry back to the city. We are estimating it will be the 2pm ferry back.
Feel free to invite your mates!
