A Climate Emergency. But what now?

  • Allpress Studio Auckland 8 Drake Street Auckland, Auckland, 1010 New Zealand (map)

Auckland Council has declared a Climate Emergency. But what does that mean? What do we need to do as individuals? How should the businesses we work for respond? And what is our local council planning to do about it?

As we wrap up our Towards Zero Carbon Sprint, let’s have a discussion on what a Climate Emergency means and what needs to happen now. This will be an interactive event where your participation is encouraged, your voice is important, and you will leave feeling inspired to keep fighting for your carbon reduction initiatives!

Even if you haven’t been able to take part in this Sprint, this is a great opportunity for you to learn about our Climate Emergency and understand what actions you can take within your business.

Join us on the Tuesday 10 September to learn what a Climate Emergency actually means…

Speakers:
- Helen Mahoney - Sustainability and Resilience Advisor, Auckland Council
- Kate van Praagh - Team Lead, Sustainability, Westpac
- Maulik Thakkar - Co-convenor for the Zero Carbon Act Team, Generation Zero
